How to score Wingspan
Six categories. Three take points, three count one point each, and the highest total wins.

The score pad
Six lines, in this order
This is the score sheet BoardGameTally keeps for Wingspan. Pick it once and everyone in your group scores the game the same way from then on.

On the shelf of score sheets it is called Standard scoring. Your group can change it, or write one of its own, and share that with everybody else.
Who wins
The totals set the places
Every line counts towards one total for that player, and the highest total wins. The places below first follow from the same column, so nobody has to sort the table by hand.
When two totals are level
The app says there is a tie and shows this game's tiebreaker: most unused food tokens.
You settle that at the table and set the places by hand. The app does not guess: it cannot see what is in front of you.
Then the usual points
Once the places are set, Wingspan pays league points and moves everyone's rating like any other game. Beating four people is worth more than beating two.
How the points and the rating workWhile you play
Score as you go, or all at the end
Fill the pad in at the end if that is your habit. Or open it when you sit down and keep it going as points land, so the last card is not followed by ten minutes of adding up. It is the same pad either way.
A line for each category
A row per category, a column per player, and each total and place underneath. You type into a box, or swipe along it on a phone: right to add, left to take away.
The totals keep up
Every box you fill in changes that player's total and the order of the table, so at any point in the game you can see who is ahead.
Undo, then redo
Somebody will miscount. Live scoring steps back through every change you have made, and redo puts them back.
After the game
The sheet is kept, not thrown away
Save it and every number you entered is kept with the result, not just the total. A year later the game is still there line by line, category by category.

The night, the players, the places and every category total.
In the league table
Points for turning up and for winning, so the season table moves the moment you save.
In everyone's rating
Who you beat at this game, and how likely you were to beat them, for as long as you play.
Wrong number?
A group admin can correct or delete a saved game, and the table and the ratings are worked out again from scratch.
